बाँदा (उत्तर प्रदेश), 16 अप्रैल की रात तपते बुंदेलखंड की प्यास बुझाने और सूखते भविष्य को हरियाली का वचन देने की एक अनोखी मिसाल, पर्यावरण योद्धा पीपल मैन डॉ. रघुराज प्रताप सिंह संस्थापक रघुराज पीपल मैन फाउंडेशन ने फिर कायम की अनोखी मिसाल, किसी ने घड़ी दी, किसी ने गहने, लेकिन डॉ. सिंह ने बाँदा के वर्ल्ड ब्लू रिसोर्ट में नवविवाहित जोड़े डॉली पुत्री श्री राजेंद्र सिंह चंदेल पिपराहरी, वर हितेश सिंह, आगरा को जो उपहार दिया, वह धरती की सबसे अनमोल सौगात थी – एक जीवनदायी पौधा। जब दूल्हा-दुल्हन ने उस नन्हे से पौधे को अपने हाथों में थामा, तो मानो प्रकृति ने आशीर्वाद बरसाया। वहाँ मौजूद हर आंख नम थी, और हर दिल प्रेरित। डॉ. सिंह ने कहा, “जब दो दिल एक होते हैं, तो क्यों न उस पवित्र मिलन का साक्षी एक पेड़ भी बने? यह पौधा केवल एक उपहार नहीं, बल्कि जीवन और धरती के बीच एक पवित्र रिश्ता है।” बाँदा और समूचा बुंदेलखंड, जहां हर साल तापमान नए रिकॉर्ड तोड़ता है, वहाँ ऐसे प्रतीकात्मक कार्य केवल एक शुरुआत नहीं, बल्कि एक जनआंदोलन हैं। डॉ. सिंह की इस पहल ने यह जता दिया कि विवाह केवल दो व्यक्तियों का नहीं, बल्कि उनके और प्रकृति के बीच भी एक वचन हो सकता है। आज जब दुनिया जलवायु संकट की आग में झुलस रही है, तब पीपल मैन का यह हरित संदेश उम्मीद की ठंडी छांव बनकर उभरा है। अगर हर विवाह, हर पर्व, हर खुशी एक पेड़ से जुड़ जाए – तो आने वाली पीढ़ियाँ हमें धन्यवाद कहेंगी। धरती से प्रेम जताने का सबसे सुंदर तरीका है, एक पेड़ लगाना।
