અહમદાબાદ | સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટ દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલા ઐતિહાસિક ચુકાદામાં કરાર આધારિત સહાયક પ્રોફેસરોને “સમાન કામ – સમાન વેતન”નો અધિકાર માન્ય કરાયો છે. ગુજરાત કોંગ્રેસના મીડીયા કન્વીનર અને પ્રવક્તા ડૉ. મનીષ દોશીએ જણાવ્યું કે આ ચુકાદાથી છેલ્લા 10–15 વર્ષથી આર્થિક શોષણનો ભોગ બની રહેલા પ્રાધ્યાપકોને રાહત મળશે.
ડો. દોશીએ ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું કે રાજ્યની ભાજપ સરકાર તાત્કાલિક આ ચુકાદાની અમલવારી કરે. હાલ રાજ્યમાંપોલિટેકનિક અને સરકારી એન્જિનિયરિંગ કોલેજોમાં કાર્યરત લગભગ 210 જેટલા સહાયક પ્રોફેસરોને સીધો ફાયદો થશે.
તેમણે જણાવ્યું કે ગુજરાતમાં લગભગ સાત લાખથી વધુ કરાર આધારિત કર્મચારીઓ વિવિધ વિભાગોમાં કામ કરી રહ્યા છે અને આ ચુકાદો તેમના માટે પણ આશાનું કિરણ છે. છતાં રાજ્ય સરકારે અનેક કરાર આધારિત પ્રાધ્યાપકોને ટર્મિનેટ કરી દીધા છે, જે દુઃખદ બાબત છે.
ડો. મનીષ દોશીએ વધુમાં જણાવ્યું કે ગુજરાત હાઈકોર્ટની ડિવિઝન બેન્ચે અગાઉ ફિક્સ પગારને ગેરબંધારણીય જાહેર કર્યો હતો, છતાં ભાજપ સરકાર એના વિરુદ્ધ સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટમાં ગઈ છે અને ત્યાં સતત તારીખ પર તારીખ મળી રહી છે.
કોંગ્રેસ પક્ષે સ્પષ્ટ કર્યું છે કે ગુજરાત સરકારનું આર્થિક શોષણનું મોડલ યુવા–યુવતીઓને ન્યાય આપતું નથી અને આવનારા દિવસોમાં કોંગ્રેસ આ મુદ્દે લડત આપશે.
