Supreme Court of India में दायर एक महत्वपूर्ण याचिका के चलते Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) ने NEET PG 2025 के राउंड-3 की काउंसलिंग प्रक्रिया में चॉइस फिलिंग और लॉकिंग को अस्थायी रूप से रोक दिया है। यह निर्णय अगली सुनवाई तक प्रभावी रहेगा।
याचिका में National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) द्वारा की गई कट-ऑफ में भारी कटौती को चुनौती दी गई है। याचिकाकर्ताओं का आरोप है कि हालिया फैसले के तहत SC/ST/OBC वर्ग के उम्मीदवारों को नकारात्मक स्कोर (−40 अंक तक) पर भी योग्य मानते हुए लगभग 18,000 खाली PG मेडिकल सीटें भरने की अनुमति दी गई, जो मेरिट सिस्टम के मूल सिद्धांतों के विपरीत है।
याचिका पत्रकार शुभम शर्मा एवं अन्य द्वारा दायर की गई है। याचिका में तर्क दिया गया है कि इस तरह की कट-ऑफ नीति से मेडिकल शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता, रेजिडेंसी ट्रेनिंग का स्तर और मरीजों की सुरक्षा पर गंभीर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव पड़ सकता है। याचिकाकर्ताओं का कहना है कि अत्यधिक कम योग्यता मानकों पर प्रवेश देने से भविष्य में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की गुणवत्ता प्रभावित हो सकती है।
मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने प्रारंभिक स्तर पर संज्ञान लिया है, जिसके बाद MCC ने एहतियातन राउंड-3 काउंसलिंग से जुड़ी चॉइस फिलिंग/लॉकिंग प्रक्रिया पर रोक लगा दी है। कोर्ट की अगली सुनवाई के बाद ही यह स्पष्ट हो सकेगा कि काउंसलिंग आगे किस दिशा में बढ़ेगी या कट-ऑफ नीति में कोई संशोधन किया जाएगा।
फिलहाल, NEET PG 2025 के उम्मीदवारों में असमंजस की स्थिति बनी हुई है और सभी की निगाहें सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आगामी आदेश पर टिकी हैं।
