Indore. Under the leadership of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an important meeting was held between various trade organizations of Indore and GST Commissioner Mr. Anay Dwivedi at the GST Commissioner’s office conference hall. During the meeting, 17 major issues and practical difficulties related to GST and business operations were discussed in detail.
CAIT Indore President Mr. Manish Bisani stated that office-bearers from more than 50 trade associations participated in the meeting. Representatives from Siyaganj, Maharani Road, Petrol Pumps, New Siyaganj, Grain Markets, Iron Markets, Transport, Readymade Garments, Snacks & Sweets, Sarafa Market, Textile Markets, Timber Markets, Malwa Mill, Jail Road, MTH Compound, Paint Associations, Dal Mills, and FMCG sectors were present.
The traders directly presented their concerns and practical GST-related challenges before the Commissioner. GST Commissioner Mr. Anay Dwivedi, along with Assistant Commissioners Mr. R.K. Sharma and Mr. Choubey, addressed the issues point-by-point and provided clarity on various technical matters.

Mr. Dwivedi emphasized that the department is working towards creating a positive environment for business growth. He said the department’s objective is not merely “Penalization” but “Realization,” meaning facilitating compliance and encouraging smooth business operations. He further stated that traders who honestly pay taxes should be respected and appreciated so that others may also feel encouraged to comply sincerely.
The Commissioner also informed the gathering that the department has introduced a “Virtual Hearing” system for the quick resolution of traders’ grievances. In addition, steps have been taken to reduce difficulties faced by transporters and truck operators during transit checks conducted in the name of GST compliance.
The department assured the participants that local-level issues would be resolved promptly, while policy-related matters would be forwarded to the State and Central Governments for appropriate action.
CAIT National Vice President Mr. Ramesh Gupta assured traders that he would personally intervene in issues related to Delhi and the Finance Ministry. BJP Trade Cell State Convener Mr. Dheeraj Khandelwal also stated that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to protecting traders’ interests and ensuring solutions to their concerns.
During the meeting, CAIT’s Indore unit celebrated the Madhya Pradesh government’s historic decision to establish a “Traders’ Welfare Board.” Sweets and laddoos were distributed among the attendees to mark the occasion.
The meeting was attended by several prominent trade leaders, including Mr. Ajit Singh Narang (President, Indore Utthan Samiti), Harish Vijayvargiya, Rajkumar Saboo, Umesh Tiwari, Dhirendra Patel, Praveen Nikhra, Yashpal Kundwani, Rajendra Singh Vasu, Pinky Jain, Vijay Chandak, Pankaj Gandhi, Harsh Khandelwal, Murli Khandelwal, Mohammad Peethawala, Narayan Agarwal, Anurag Bothra, Ashok Thakur, Jagdish Gupta, Suresh Hariyani, Vasudev Chelani, Naeem Palwala, Manish Chaudhary, Dilip Chandwani, Kamal Chhatri, Rajat Bediya, Sumit Saboo, Rajesh Agarwal, Mohit Parikh, Pawan Jain, Nikesh Talreja, Sumit Jain, Jay Tharani, Jitendra Ramnani, Sanjay Ahuja, Arun Patel, Govind Kukreja, Pradeep Yadwani, and several senior trade representatives of the city.
