Many supporters are recalling an interview given by Dr. Satish Poonia on July 3, 2020, to Dr. Ramesh Kumar Rawat, who was then serving as a Global Journalist with Webdunia, the world’s first Hindi news portal.

In that interview, Dr. Poonia had remarked:

“I believe there should be no struggle for power or office. However, I hope that just as the party honored me by appointing me State President, it will continue to honor me in the future by recognizing my work.”

Political observers and party workers believe that this statement has now become a reality. By nominating him to the Rajya Sabha, the BJP has acknowledged his long-standing service and contribution to the organization.
